Somebody slap that duck

Author: Brian | Filed under: Free 420 Jars

I’ve been having these weird flashes of memory lately. Things like the illustrations out of the bedtime stories I was put to sleep with. Specifically today I’m remembering the illustration of a duck being slapped on the ass with a paddle, by a Chinese guy.

I’m not sure what this means.

I seem to get a long fine with both ducks and the Chinese so this illustration couldn’t have traumatized me too much.  However it was apparently enough to cause flash backs some twenty years later.  Now I’ve spent my day trying to figure just what the hell that duck did to deserve such treatment from a Chinese guy.

Little bits of detail filter in and out. Things I’m positive are facts:

  • +Chinese man
  • +Duck
  • +Paddle
  • +Paddle hit duck

Things I’m not so sure on:

  • +This all involved a boat
  • +The duck was bad
  • +Why the hell I was reading children stories featuring abused ducks.

I’ve searched and googled, even tried to call my parents but am not getting anywhere. I need to know what book this was.  I need all of you out there to focus on your childhood, look deep into your memory and ask yourself, “Have I seen this paddled duck”.

First one to comment on this post with information that leads to the discovery of the duck gets a free 420 Jar, separate from the one I give away each day randomly.

In the meantime, Michael in Ca gets a free xs screw-top silver leaf.
