I doubled up on free jar winners again. I’m cool like that.

First was Jessie in OR. He orders from us quite a bit and if we had a physical store instead of a virtual one I’m sure we’d be on pleasant conversation terms by now.

Seeing as we are just an internet store, the best I can do for now is toss in a free jar and say “thanks again”, again.

Then later I hooked up a customer from Marshfield, Wisconsin, because there was a time in my life where the worst thing that could have happened to me was living and working in Marshfield, Wisconsin. I don’t know how you do it buddy. Well, besides weed.

Chris out of Wylie, TX gets the jar today.

I like the name Wylie.

I think I’ll name my first born son that. Then I’ll convince that son that he’ll grow up to be a time traveler, like his father, and that after he’ll eventually go back in time and visit an area outside of Dallas called Nickelville that this son will save from some sort of calamity. Maybe some sort of infestation or plague. Also, the theme song for Doctor Who will be playing from the sky during all of this.

The people of Nickelville will have been so grateful that they decide to rename the town Wylie.

Yep, that’s a plan.

Sometimes, it’s Texas who messes with you

Today’s winner was JC out of Houston, TX. JC placed an order on Friday for a medium TX norml jar that I unfortunately wasn’t able to get made until yesterday and finally shipped today.

While he’ll still get his order within our promised window, I feel bad. As a big time fan of online shopping I know how unnerving it can be to place an order, see your credit card charged while you then sit there and wait, wait, wait for a few days for that tracking number to come through.

So if only to make up for my own insecurities, I sent JC a free medium Doobie jar AND tossed in a free sample of our new product RezBlock.

Ruth in MI ordered a replacement lid for a small amber jar. She’ll get a replacement lid for a small amber jar and a small clear lets bake. It seemed to be my least obvious choice so I went for it.

I am busy. Busy busy. We’re launching a new product very soon and we also got a batch of the new xs pop top jars so I’ve been brushing up on my forklift Tetris skills trying to make space. Difficulty: Expert.

I’m also the only one here. That doesn’t change much. The office is colder. My dog is here too. He says hi.

Yesterday’s free jar winners were once again numerous. We had some left overs from Matt’s free Doobie jar deal. I also sent out a free jar to a wounded Afghanistan vet who ordered two scopes.

In a related note. The VA last Friday decided to allow veterans in medical states to use medical marijuana. Before medical marijuana was not only banned, but you could lose all your benefits if you tested positive for weed. Now they’ll supposedly provide a place for medication within their hospitals. They won’t prescribe it yet, but it is a huge step forward, especially for a federal organization.

Anywho, another busy day ahead of me, I’ll be back soon to update today’s free jar winner. Until then…..

I sent out a few more free jars to people who picked up on Matt’sDoobie Awards special but was sure to drop an extra one in for Phi here in town. I tossed in a ……….. wait………..oh……….I’ve done a horrible thing. I just noticed Phi commented that he’s into our screw-top jars and I definitely sent him a free pop top. Whoops. Sorry homie. It’s a sweet pop top though.
Free jars is hard sometimes.

Locals only.

There was a storm today.

A morning flurry of orders quickly turned into the fabled “jarnado”, a whirly beast of a weather pattern known to cause excessive weight in packages and cleared jar racks.

Yesterday Matt promised on Facebook a free jar to anyone that ordered a High Times Doobie Awards jar and a whole lot of you took him up on the offer. I hooked it up as best I can for all who ordered, and to those who think they missed out I say “no worries”! Matt has extended the deal through the weekend.

Get to it!

Jarnado

Another day, another batch of free 420 Jars.

We’ve been riding the summer out so far without any xs pop top jars due to supply issues. We’re finally able to bring them back into production but the jar now is shaped just a bit differently and uses a new lid.

That leaves me with more loose ends in the shop, aka the old style xs pop top. I spent the first few minutes of my morning collecting some of them together to randomly drop into orders. No real pattern again, just clearing house and looking out for boxes with room. It’s like a free jar shindig in here.

Speaking of shindig. Cause we just were… Matt is throwing one his own apparently by announcing on Facebook that anyone who buys a Doobie jar today gets another jar free. Personally I’m worried. Things are well and good when the shop rabble like me are hooking people up, but when the boss starts picking up the give-away addiction the foundations of capitalism begin to shake.

Sometimes the things you do every day are the easiest to forget. Like today, I almost forgot to give out a free 420 jar.

By the time it did jump back into my mind my choices of who to give it to were significantly narrowed. By narrowed I mean that I had to give it to the only new order that came in, so congratulations Dave in Michigan, you have great timing and now a jar to go with that scope.

repetition

We’ve been adding and changing lots of things to our catalog this year which has left me with quite a bit of old loose ends in the shop. In the dark corners of the warehouse I have stacks of older designs that are out of print but not yet out of style.

Usually I’d mark them as unsellable and ship them as extras in our wholesale orders to head-shops / dispensaries as gifts to keep the employees pleased.

But really, forget those kids. Now that I’m trying, I’m having a hard time thinking of a headshop employee I’ve come across that wasn’t just a little bit too pleased with himself. You know that half of them are grifftin’ all the stickers, hats and promo material companies like 420 Science send to the shops anyway.

So today I broke the mold. I grabbed a stack of old style Green Leaf and Lets Bake jars I had hiding and just sort of tossed them willy-nilly into a bunch of random orders as I went about my business. There was no real pattern to determine who got one and who didn’t, but it helped your chances if you had a multiple jar order since the added weight wouldn’t cost me anything extra.

Be pleased free jar winners. The jar you received made you a bit luckier and some head-shop employee a little less entitled.
